.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME generic Top-Level Domain is the only one intended for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to reserve john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased third-level domains remained operational.

Through our company, you can order your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special stipulations on who can purchase a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.

The .NAME top-level extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the right spelling in your native language.
